About me

Nice to meet you! My name is Samuel George.

In 2019, I moved to London to study BA Journalism at UAL. During my second year of university, I was shortlisted and selected for an internship at Thomson Reuters in Canary Wharf, where I continued to work throughout my final year as a Journalist & Producer. My work has been featured on Reuters.com, World Economic Forum Agenda, GAY TIMES, Twitter (now “X”) and many more – a highlight being my interview with Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan.

In 2022, I graduated from the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London with a first class BA in Audio-Video Journalism.

Since graduating, I have specialised in social media and communications, working as a Social Media Officer for Oxford-based environmental non-profit Global Canopy – which works to eliminate deforestation – creating social strategies, assets and analytics.

I love music and recently covered the Eurovision 2023 season for Wiwibloggs – the most popular website and Youtube channel dedicated to the contest – where I travelled to Malmö, Stockholm and Liverpool to interview artists including Loreen, who ended up winning the contest for the second time. I also helped out at the London Eurovision Party in April 2023, assisting artists and their delegations, such as the UK’s Mae Muller, from soundcheck to show. I was also an Artist Liaison during London Pride in July 2023.

Stay tuned for exciting adventures ahead in 2024… ✨
